What is the “Schatzkammer” at the University of Paderborn?
The “Schatzkammer” project is aimed at students at the University of Paderborn, the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences and the Catholic University of Applied Sciences, Paderborn department. They can visit the “Schatzkammer” and take donated items for their own use. Donations are released based on the principle of good faith. Donations can be made by anyone who still has something usable to the advisor in the social advice department of the Studierendenwerk Paderborn and at the “Schatzkammer” opening time.
What can be donated to the “Schatzkammer”?
- Equipment for babies and toddlers
- Books
- Decorative items
- Dishes, glasses and cutlery
- Household electronics
- Children's clothing
- Children's toys
- Kitchen helper
- Pots, pans and bowls
- Vases and flower pots
- Contemporary computer accessories and other technical devices
The prerequisite for donations is a good to very good general condition.
What is the aim of the “Schatzkammer” offer?
The project is based on both a social and a sustainable idea. Household items, technology and children's clothing do not have to be thrown away if they are still usable. Instead, they can be made available to students who can still use these things. In the spirit of sustainability, the impact on the planet and people is also taken into account.
Notice
Studierendenwerk Paderborn reserves the right to temporarily stop accepting donations if the capacity of the Schatzkammer is exhausted. If necessary, “slow items” will be passed on to other aid organizations or disposed of after a period of 3 months.
